Greentin`s Journey
Hi there!
Welcome to Greentin’s website. We kindly ask you to give us a few moments of your time, so we can tell you Greentin’s journey. It all started in 2010, in Baia Mare, Maramures. Somewhere in the Northern part of Romania, close to the border with Hungary and Ukraine. 
Back then, Romanian youngsters were just starting to discover the joy of non-formal education and the benefits of volunteering.
The journey began with questions…
What if we put education at the core of sustainable development?
How would these educational activities look like?
And a frog! Greentin’s logo was chosen as a symbol of transformation and growth.
And so the design of these activities started…
The focus of Greentin’s activities are youngsters from rural areas or with limited experience in volunteering. Their parents and their communities. We want to offer that first glimpse of how educational growth can be obtained with joy and peace.
But growth is not always easy. Greentin changed and transformed. Not everyone managed to find meaning in this transformation. But for sure everyone contributed. With time, people and activities may change. You can find more about our activities on the website and on our social media channels.
However, values can only grow stronger. We stand by 3 core values, our moral R:
Reflection – because each journey should start with an introspection.
Responsibility – because each of us should be responsible and take accountability for our acts and decisions.
Respect – because self-respect and mutual respect should be the first layer of any educational journey.
